Prosecutors keep cutting plea deals with Jan. 6 insurrectionists for misdemeanor "unlawful picketing and parading," with a maximum sentence of 6 months and $500. "Judges increasingly are expressing their heartburn about that," says @MacFarlaneNews. "Judges say 'Why not more?'"

What's wrong with prosecutors cutting plea deals? Don't they always do that?

If we know the insurrection was a planned coup, not just a riot, shouldn't the insurrectionists be charged as domestic terrorists? The foot soldiers deserve much more than a slap on the wrist... #SeditionHasConsequences

These saboteurs, beings *invaded the Capitol, attacked police & the guards, destroyed property!!* While there are people in prison for years for just smoking an herb! Who did not attack nor harm anyone, nor were traitors! WTF is wrong w/these judges!!!?
What a crock of shit, are they giving them permission to do it again. Maybe the judge should give what sentence they think is appropriate
These plea agreements are a total joke. Just throw the book at these people. There is something really wrong at the top of the DOJ.

I don’t understand! They were out to wreak havoc and worse!

I'm thinking these are the people who just entered the Capitol and nothing else. They haven't gotten to the people who did really bad things yet or the ring leaders.

Due to their actions, people died. They should ALL be charged with manslaughter.
Why the fvck are **the Judges** accepting the plea deals? If they accept the deals, they can’t complain about the deals they accept. At least, plea bargains should include a sworn statement accepting the election & attribute who, why, & what they rioted for in the confessions

Correct me if I’m wrong: don’t the judges impose sentences? The judge doesn’t have to accept the plea deal…it’s their decision not the prosecutor! Something stinks
