McCarthy will play the victim and wait until the media moves on to something else. None of these people will ever face consequences for any of the harm they do, and his words will open the door to even more threats of violence.

Absolutely absurd. McCarthy should be condemned for many things: his dishonesty, hypocrisy and support of the Big Lie. But, fainting over an offhand joke is what makes many people recoil at the "D" next to a candidate's name.
