Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the protests in Cuba can’t be blamed on the U.S.’s economic embargo (which just so happens to be the longest in modern history). Adds @JMVivancoHRW: “Blaming the embargo, I don't think it’s accurate, I don’t think it’s fair.”

The >60 year old economic blockade against Cuba deprives the Cuban people of food and medicine and violates their human rights. 184 UN member states opposed only by the US and Israel supported a resolution on "Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo."

Cuba has been the target of economic warfare by the US.The economic, financial and commercial blockade, opposed by 184 UN member countries, cost Cuba $130 billion, $11,477 for each Cuban, 1.67 times the per capita GDP. The blockade deprives Cubans of food, medicine and wellbeing.

The political bias clouds @JMVivancoHRW 's judgment to a degree one would not have thought possible. The 60 year US economic, financial and commercial blockade has cost Cuba $130 billion, $11,477 per Cuban or 1.67 times the per capita GDP.

Blinken is no better than Mike Pompeo. Just another lying politician protecting Israel.
