Belarus’s Lukashenko “is an extreme example of what happens if you don’t count votes,” @TimothyDSnyder tells @MehdiRHasan. “And if you pretend to win and if you refuse to leave office.” Sound familiar?

He was totally correct in describing the situation in Belarus. The “sound familiar” part in the tweet itself (doesn’t appear in this clip, so I assume it belongs to a person who runs the acc here) was unnecessary. Not everything in this world resembles USA or American politics.
And hijacking a plane, stealing land from another country, launching indiscriminate cyber and disinformation attacks against multiple countries, assassinating citizens on foreign soil are things that you do when the countries of the world don't hold you accountable.

Belarus’s Lukashenko is what happens when you share border with Russia and not a NATO member.
American Samoa is having a similar problem. The previous president was in power for 22 years. He lost, so he locked up Parliament so the swearing in ceremony could not take place. The new pres erected a tent outside & has completed the swearing in, but the ex-pres won't concede.

Your tweet needs to say, Belarus’s Lukashenko “is an extreme example of what happens if you don’t count votes, AND REFUSE TO LEAVE OFFICE” Because when I first read this, it sounded like a Republican mantra-lie about Biden @MehdiHasanShow
