At that time, there was a mask shortage for health care workers. When mask supply vs. demand was restored, the nation was urged to mask up. Distortions, misinformation, disinformation and lies continue to be harmful to our country.

First the Surgeon General was not a “good person all the way.” Second they basically lied to us because they were afraid people would horde masks from medical workers. I don’t appreciate being lied to or being treated like an selfish idiot. I can live with the rest of the 1/

It should be noted that on March 8th, 2020, the day Dr. Fauci gave the 60 Minutes interview, the total number of deaths in the U.S. from Covid-19 was 21. By April 3rd, he had decided that masks should be worn by the general public, partly based on asymptomatic transmission.
