The nursing home Covid scandal is taking its toll on NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Could it cost him his reelection next year? “I think he will face a pretty stiff primary,” says @jessemckinley. “Someone on the left will challenge him and try to run on issues like this, on transparency.”

Mehdi, I like you but your thing of going after Cuomo is ridiculous. They may have made mistakes but was not malicious. That’s why republicans win, you guys hold democrats to an impossible standard and let republicans get away with insurrection.

Cuomo's have had the state locked up for decades. This changes nothing. Half the planet loves the guy for his handling of New York's Covid response.
This sounds like influence journalism, not news.
It's never a good idea to lie to the public. He should have owned his mistake instead of getting defensive about it.

Well NY is destroyed if a far left candidate tries to come in (and we know this is what this whole left winging jumping on the right wing bandwagon is about.) &most likely the far left will lose and we will end up with some freak maga governor. Thanks! Then I move,I lasted covid

And like I said, many out there are stick of this witchhunt..not just ppl like me on twitter, but average New Yorkers, and then you have the stupid ones who are lazy&read headlines, but they hardly vote. Or the Fox Magas who won't vote for him anyway.
As for future presidential...he has never once said he wants it...that's you guys. And he is hardly going to run against Biden/harris in 2024,is he? Being primaried is what the far left do the decent candidates. Get real. Fed up with all of you.
