Why didn't impeachment managers call witnesses? Because Mitch McConnell had already said he would vote to acquit Trump. "That was deflating for us. We saw him as a linchpin vote," @RepSwalwell tells @mehdirhasan. "We thought it would be futile to chase uncooperative witnesses."

Did Sen. Chris Coons *really* say he wanted the impeachment trial over in time for Valentine’s Day? “I don’t want to go into what senators said or did not say,” says Rep. Eric Swalwell. As for Trump, “He’s gonna age like milk, he’s not gonna age like fine wine.”

You all are a bunch of liars as there was no evidence to convict. YOu boneheads never wanted Trump in and have been illegally trying to impeach him. YOu all need to be held accountable legally.
The explanation for not calling witnesses seems to be that Mitch McConnell's email saying he would vote to acquit anyway and that was "deflating" according to Rep Swalwell. This is somehow vaguely dissatisfying. Witnesses may have convinced other Senators or their constituents.

Stop lying Fang Fang. You knew your case would fall apart even more. You’re an embarrassment. Not to mention a spy for the communist Chinese government. #ImpeachmentFailure #DemocratClownShow #losers #FuckUnity
You literally used fake evidence for another coup attempt on our president. You should all be expelled from congress. #disgraceful we will take back control 2022 and things will be very different...very different
They didn't call witness's because it would make them look even more stupid. The truth would have came out and it would have been more damaging.... photoshopped evidence is probably the worst thing you can do.
you would have thought Raskin would have photoshopped hair.
Because your case was lame and you were afraid Pelosi and Schumer would be called to testify.
