“It was clear from day one that a Trump presidency would be authoritarian, bigoted, serially dishonest, outside the bounds of any previous modern presidency. It was clear that we shouldn’t normalize him. But we did.” @mehdirhasan calls out the media's complicity... and whiteness.

Two minutes. Just give @KarenAttiah two minutes to parse the media's responsibility for the Trump catastrophe, and how many of us in the industry have misunderstood and underestimated "how white violence in this country has shaped the country as we know it."

The media is run by the klan, ergo you work for the klan.

@mehdirhasan, every word you uttered here holds true for the #Modi era in India. Will the world media call him out? Is there any hope for #India? Please Help!

It was clear as day throughout the campaign, but the media didn’t want to see it. Trump mocking a disabled reporter for asking him a hardball question showed the depth of his callousness and cruelty. Yet the media allowed this attack on one of their own to slide by unchallenged.

All quite clear, all absolutely true. All very sad, all very disturbing. All very dangerous at this moment. You are not wrong Mehdi. 😢

It was clear during the campaigning but hell people like him and then the rumor is he has "dirt" on people.

Just what I was waiting for. „nonsense“ is a nice word, I guess you can’t call it what it is: BS. All the best from the country of the Contagious Hillbillies.
It's clear from day one that trump was grooming his supporters for brownshirt violence: nytimes.com/video/us/1000000…
