DeKalb County — which is majority Black — could push Democrats to victory in the Senate runoffs. But should it always come down to Black voters? "Black people are the keepers of democracy...it shouldn't have to rest on us, but it always seems to," @Dr_CMGreer says.

The keepers of socialism that is...
This is a circular logic. More blacks supporting dem along with gerrymandering pushing gop to be more white. More homogenous gop becomes the more authoritarian it gets when it sees people who doesn’t look like them in power.
You mean being used and nothing to show for
Big cities count slower. It really doesn’t “come down” to anywhere.

Ayeeee Mehdi congrats on the show ☀️☀️☀️☀️
Absolute truth. “The keepers of the democracy” that has been denied to Black, Brown and Indigenous since the birth of the republic and the first white man’s shoe print on this land.

Big stretch here: will this country ever become post-racial?
Black voters know oppression. Unless they're immigrants from oppressed states, white voters do not. It's much easier for white voters to take democracy, rights, freedoms and privileges for granted.
