If the Nashville bomber "was Muslim, it would be everywhere," says @DeanObeidallah. "When you can't find the religion of the [terrorist] actor in an article, you know he's not Muslim." It's a function of a societal prejudice that he adds is "making us less safe."

So true why does the media tiptoe around white aggression. It’s was meant to strike fear.

There's another stereotype that is also used too easily with deadly results- the "crazy" or "psycho" killer. People with mental illness are not violent. They are often the victims. We need better words to describe the people who pose real threats

So the police were tipped off that he was building a bomb in his RV by his girlfriend and they didn't do anything about it but if he was a Muslim he would have already been in jail

Wow that was poorly worded. His actions reflect on him, alone. Not on groups he was part of. Maybe he meant "if his Muslim faith called for this act..."

Maybe it's a terrorist bomber yelling "Allahu Akbar" right before detonation that draws attention to their religion.

I can always tell the skin color and religion of a person reported in the news by what they do or do not mention. No mention of race or religion, white and non-Muslim.
