Support is rising for an Edward @Snowden pardon as Trump leaves office. But @selectedwisdom argues he's not worthy: "This isn't just about domestic surveillance," but "how much resources, how many Americans maybe even put their life on their line to build this intelligence."

The sunk cost fallacy, for doing crimes.
He fled to China/HK with property he stole. He wasn鈥檛 looking out for anyone other than trying to be an online superhero. He damaged the US and our institutions. He also has no clue what he might have exposed because it鈥檚 above his pay grade.
Why are we even discussing this while reality winner is rotting in jail?
As a former Snowden fan I say he deserves no pardon. He damaged America well beyond privacy, I see that now. Btw anyone whom didn鈥檛 think the gov, was listening was naive. Read wiring up the big brother machine, this is a problem before Snowden.

An excellent point was made- without a leak we wouldn't know about the "perfect phone call" because the whistleblower was silenced

If Trump pardons Snowden, it will be because Putin has gotten everything out of Snowden that he can, and he wants Snowden to move on. It will not be based on any other rational thought process by Trump.
Huh? Perhaps they shouldn鈥檛 have been put in a situation where they laid their lives on the line in the name of spying on USA citizens. Blame the ppl at the top who orchestrated it, not Snowden for exposing it. Not his problem if others are at risk because of others corrupt shit
If he does pardon, Snowden... Trump will be doing it because Vlad wants it done. What will Putin ask for next?
Aside from the sunk cost fallacy, pardons are about mercy.
