Mehdi asks: Of the three Covid vaccines being sped to market, which is the best? “Right now I don't have a favorite vaccine,” says virologist @angie_rasmussen. “I want *any* vaccine that is going to be distributed to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.”

"Is it fair to say...the vast majority of these people didn't need to die?" "That's very fair to say," says @angie_rasmussen. "Other countries without a vaccine have managed to successfully control this... it spread so widely in the US... because of failures of leadership."

What about the price difference ? What about the difference in sample size for test subjects for side effects ? I've often learned less is more - sure vaccines arriving is great esp for the most vulnerable . But doctors seem to have trouble with risk assignment and cost
Someday I'd like to hear from the people at Pfizer as to why a vaccine kept at sub zero, requiring two inoculations, was the best path forward. Healthcare delivery in the U.S. is hugely fragmented. Their board must've had multiple recipes to choose from. Why this one?
