.@mehdirhasan: Wants to know, even if Trump is out, will the GOP still act as fuel for far-right movements? Oh yeah, says @cpicciolini. The GOP "has a big problem to deal with. Not only are they white nationalist adjacent, they are QAnon adjacent, they’re militia adjacent.”

That’s not quite right: the @gop itself is a far-right party now. theguardian.com/us-news/2020…

QAnon is just a fake conspiracy to deflect attention from chemtrailz 😉
And Mehdi Hassan is tosspot adjacent.
I keep thinking of Gideon , the battle where noise caused the enemy in confusion to stab each other and not the opponents. Gideon just needed to trust God. With all the violence from militia, police, it’s not too off the mark of possibility.
By most definitions, the GOP is a terrorist organization.

It’s not a problem for the GOP: it’s in part what helped them do so well in senate and congressional seats.
They're beyond adjacent when 2 openly Qanon candidates were endorsed by the RNC and elected. They are part of the GOP now. Officially. They thought the tea party would be a good addition that wouldn't fundamentally change their DNA. Wrong. This will be worse for their credibility
