Part of our responsibility as a music publisher and rights administrator, for some incredibly complex rights, is overriding other companies' claims and freeing valid uses (Lets Plays, etc.)

Music rights are a complex matrix of copyright & royalties. There are 100s of music companies who send metadata to YouTube, and many of these deliveries have bad info.
EACH cover song from UNDERTALE has a different set of policies, of rights, per territory, per platform.
Game soundtracks are exempted from Content ID (support.google.com/youtube/a… ).
That's part of the reason why YouTube shows cover versions as melody claims.
Musical works (the separate copyrights for melody, chords, etc) exist in Content ID due to PROs, CMOs, Maria, and others.
