Out of everything to get pissed at , I now have a personal beef with @MateriaColl . Kinda ticks me that they keep releasing these 'tributes'

It seems like the effort that are used in these could have been used to getting the actual soundtracks released instead of re-recording them

That makes sense! For our last big orchestral album Hero of Time, we pressed a few thousand copies, since a ton of fans wanted it.

To me, it just seems like a waste of wax, time and effort unless there's a huge audience that I'm not aware of that actually buy these.

I'm going to guess it's abit more difficult to get the rights to release the original then getting a license to cover them, but I strongly..

...strongly prefer the latter, to me it seems more worthwhile. But if people are buying these up, then I'm not one to talk smack.
