It's my understanding that at least several of the Celeste B-Sides composers (myself included) have never seen this Materia Dashboard. Will we (and other composers without access) be seeing that Dashboard in the near future? AFAIK nobody has any concept of how much we are owed.

Hey Christa, Please connect with us via email at artists@materiacollective.com and we can get you set up with access to the Materia Dashboard. We're working on ensuring that all artists and royalty recipients will have access to the Materia Dashboard by the next reporting period.

Ohhh boy... I literally just found out about this @MateriaColl and so far all I’ve read are serious complaints! Not just your run of the mill gripes, but downright stomach churning concerns from patrons, employees, and contractors alike. It’s time to do better!

You better be! Contractors and artists getting screwed out of their hard earned, well deserved finances is all too common a story! It really sucks that this happened at all, oversight or not! I hope your company can be more diligent and fair going forward!!

If you don’t pay artists for a payout period due to some technicality, that’s maybe an “oopsie” if you get them paid immediately. If you don’t pay them for years, it’s either a con or so malignant in its stupidity that it’s not really forgivable.

It is indeed true that 2020 was a difficult year for everyone. What about 2019? Can't we have nice things anymore? :(

You get an "oopsie" card if you, idk. COMMUNICATE WITH THE PEOPLE YOU OWE MONEY. At least then they can back out of a deal before you straight-up steal from them. No one wants a "sorry", they want their damn money. It's been a year. I'd be pissed if I didn't get paid for a year.

So basically, another "sorry we got caught" situation.

They've been reaching out to you for months upon months during a time when people need reliable renumeration most. Why did you remain silent? Why did nobody respond to them for months upon months on end? Doesn't seem like a simple oversight tbh.

you can't "2020 was a wacky year 🤪" when people haven't been paid since 2019!!!!!!!
