We are disappointed that @thegameawards pushed Best Score and Music to the preshow, did not credit creators and composers, and did not play representative music. Creators of videogame music deserve better than a passing 44-second mention. #gameaudio #gamemusic #TheGameAwards

Hi 👋 we're a video game music group. This is our entire life. Our album catalog of 300+ releases represents 1,500 composers and musicians. We care a ton about representation, and seeing our creators sidelined doesn't sit right by us.

Super disappointed. I thought in 2019 this wouldn't happen anymore, but apparently I thought wrong. Dear @thegameawards - do better. You can - and absolutely should - do better.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers deserved a nomination. Masayoshi Soken and his team put it outstanding work.

Looks like I will be making a webshow to highlight my favourite soundtracks in 2020 to compensate then!

That was the biggest letdown!! Game music deserves so much more recognition than that!
