Vaccinations not enough. “vaccinations have been highly effective at reducing severe disease & deaths, they are much less effective at reducing the risk of getting long COVID following COVID infections. Most effective way to avoid getting long COVID is not to get COVID.(Fig 1)

Long COVID was evident and acknowledged as a real outcome of COVID-19 infections by July 2020, in Japan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea. From memory, pandemic experts in Italy, Germany, France and UK also acknowledged Long COVID reality by mid-to-late 2020.

Long Covid? That should be the default diagnosis only for unvaccinated people who are having longer term problems post infection. For the vaccinated, the diagnosis "Long Vaccine" is probably more appropriate unless proven otherwise

Zali, There'll be close to 100,000 C19 hospitalisations this yr. There's been 15,400 excess deaths in 8 mths. By this time next year it's expected there will be 1.3M Australians with long covid (per @Globalbiosec)
