The day Aust reached total 1 million cases its instructive to review last 2 years. Cases/day & Deaths/day highest over first 11 days 2022. Outbreak management has failed - needs free RATs, RAT result-App, all boosters & kid doses ASAP & $ sick leave support.

Thank you, we worked so hard for 2 years only to see the let it rip approach from Dec 15 let it out free and out of control. We have been failed by Fed government in many ways, but this tops the lot. Angry and worried where this leads in 2022.

For fairness of comparison, can you please just compare the first 11 days of each year?

Based on rate of deaths over last 11 days, 2022 will bring nearly 5,500 deaths-appalling & totally preventable. But this is what happens when-despite the health advice-politicians are driven by market ideology & polling, & fail to prepare for foreseeable issues & future variants.

Another frightening factor I saw tonight, child care workers being able to work when positive? #LetItRip is dangerous

Could you also give us numbers on excess deaths, which would benchmark against overall death rates pre-#COVID19. I assume the number of deaths are covid-related deaths.
