The 1331 deaths of 2021 really should be compared to the subtotal of cases Y/E ~17 Dec, 154,000 less. That gives a more realistic Delta death rate of 0.61%. Similarly, this year's 177 if related to the 11 days ending 28 Dec is 0.22% from mixed strains but underestimated case nos
