The day Aust reached total 1 million cases its instructive to review last 2 years. Cases/day & Deaths/day highest over first 11 days 2022. Outbreak management has failed - needs free RATs, RAT result-App, all boosters & kid doses ASAP & $ sick leave support.

Not a great comparison for what we are facing given Delta is/was still on the way out on 1 January
So can we say staring at it in the rear vision mirror is not quite the shake and bake living with Covid wickets that Scott wants us to believe?

This is the most sobering set of numbers I've ever seen. It makes me want to cry.

The deaths to cases ratio is much lower, but it has been less than 2 weeks and severe illness lags behind initial infection. Also, the deaths per day figure is soooo much higher. Dare I say it? A small percentage of a very large number is still a very large number!!!

I feel as though all forms of Government have just given up with everything with the current pandemic. Decisions being made make no sense at all.
