what is the utility of testing household contacts over other contacts? When Covid so infectious, cant we assume they are positive and treat them as such, ie RAT and advise their contacts. why are households such a priority for PCR testing when it’s in limited supply

Increasing case numbers obviously means more patients with Covid now needing care in hospitals. As figures show. How many with Delta, how many due to Omicron? No info for that. How many in NSW with Covid ‘ ‘care in the home’? Been weeks no updates. No thought for HCW. Shocking

Very unfortunately some State Governments are totally ignoring health advice, also ignoring info from other countries.They changed rulings regarding PCR tests and RAT. Can’t find any RAT tests for sale in Vic, same situation in NSW. Big shipment only coming in late January?
