My aunty tested positive on a RAT today, she did this test because she's sick with symptoms. All PCR testing is closed in the area, and I've been around her several days since Christmas day. I can't take another year of this.

I'm so sick of being told "well the deaths are less than the flu, it's fine." It's not hard to find people talking about their experiences with long COVID. Hopefully the Omicron strain isn't as bad as Delta for it.

Almost a kind of Somme kind of thinking. We’ll get through this in the end, as long as we don’t think too much about the damage that is being done in the meantime. That, plus an apparent inability or unwillingness to alter approach (without changing leaders). Sigh.
