If the government, see eg NSW Health Minister, is saying that everyone is going to get Omicron then reducing spread is no longer the goal. Any restrictions are more likely to be aimed at slowing the spread or increasing protections for vulnerable people.

Didn't I read this morning that they're not trying to stop the spread? Something about an endemic vs a pandemic

It’s disgusting leaving this to the likes of Harvey Norman and others. First we left behind those who needed the vaccine most now we are just forgetting about them.

That's the obvious likely outcome of limiting access to PCR tests AND NOT providing free RATs, yet Morrison went ahead with it anyway! He & his mob don't deserve another term when he's abandoned many of us in time of national crisis.😒 #AustraliaDeservesBetter #Auspol

The same wealthy and privileged who have been able to protect themselves throughout the whole pandemic by working from home, avoiding crowded shops and workplaces, shopping online and avoiding public transport

That sums up our health system generally

The reality is people just won’t get tested. Can’t afford or get hold of the RATs & certainly won’t be & can’t be blamed for not wanting to spend 3+ hours in a queue to get swabbed & then wait 72 or more hours for the results.

"only privileged & wealthy will be able to protect themselves" now I'm worried this is not at all an accident…

In fact the community will be unable to limit the rate of spread at all and the hospitals will reach capacity.
