Mary, when masks inevitably fail in Victoria and cases rise on par with NSW, surely this ends the credibility of the mask discourse?

Mr noisewater, firstly it’s Professor to you, don’t forget your basic manners. Do you really think you know more than an expert and the WHO? The science has been in for ages regarding masks. Cases will go up in Vic. Masks alone won’t stop that but will slow spread and help.

I don't understand the Australian federal government. Even if Omicron is mild, people will need to take sick leave (if they're lucky enough to have it). This will impact on businesses and peoples livelihood. Health care workers will still get no respite. Masks is a no brainer.
