Congratulations, this is a safe way to open up. Rapid antigen tests (RATs) have been available to us for months. Should be used to screen & safeguard our boundaries/borders, venues, schools & institutions. Best RATs match PCR, take 10-15mins & cheaper. abc.net.au/news/2021-09-03/w…

My Scots sister-in-law bought tests at the local chemist (wearing her mask) as she wants to help out caring for an immunocompromised friend. Did the test, quick, easy, very fast results. Loaded the results onto the Govt testing website. Simples. Well done again Mark McGowan 👍

Good to see this logical improvement on the border. WA was lucky the last breach did not spread. Lucky @MarkMcGowanMP Here is a government learning from its mistakes. But still more to learn.

It is a great thing, I remember NSW were going to but then private labs went off, not happy as they get $78 per test, so no surprise @gladys caved because big business spoke

Except they are notoriously inaccurate! Like 50+% error rate, even when administered accurately!

All states need to consider this approach as an additional screening tool especially for cross border travel.
