Congratulations, this is a safe way to open up. Rapid antigen tests (RATs) have been available to us for months. Should be used to screen & safeguard our boundaries/borders, venues, schools & institutions. Best RATs match PCR, take 10-15mins & cheaper. abc.net.au/news/2021-09-03/w…

With no covid in WA ,great ! Doesn’t it comes back to risk strategy? NSW health said as soon as they have higher vaccination rates they’re going to use rapid antigen more. I haven’t read any article saying RATs match PCR ..do you have a link? #covid19nsw theconversation.com/rapid-an…

What can't we get a noise swab iso to results and then cross the board, pretty easy to me...

Thank you @MarylouiseMcla1 Would be great to see it being more readily applied natiobally... I wonder why the @abcnews calls it a tough new measure? Seems to me it undermines the public health safety measure.

We would’ve avoided the last couple of lockdowns if they were mandatory in workplaces. Frustrating seeing everything else thrown at it but such a simple easy tool left out

Oh finally. Bet they will still mandate vaccinations which don’t need to be mandated if you have these tests. Hope they change the law and don’t require a medically trained person to administer. Think WA need to keep them doing higher value work that requires training

As an epidemiologist wouldn't you suggest that Good clinical practice would require utility of RATs to be firstly validated to our population. and that work is currently underway. a deciaion to use RATs before this validation is complete is BAD practice?
