"Can't live in lockdown forever" BUT DON'T SACRIFICE OUR YOUNG. Restrictions mustn't lift until young have vaccine access equity; they carry highest caseload yet lowest vaccination. Without vaccination, young will have highest caseload & therefore highest numbers in hospital.

You assume the young and old are equally likely to end up in hospital if infected. Not so. In Victoria right now, under 20s make up >40% of active cases but just 4% of Covid hospital admissions. Many studies show older people are far more at risk if infected.

The maths will show as total numbers increases in unvaccinated young so will the number hospitalised. If the young remain highest group unvaccinated then hospitalisation will mostly be young. In UK 5-24yo are highest Delta numbers & Delta increases hospitalisation by two fold.

Straight from the UK govt website. The fear about kids at this stage seems unwarranted. Yes they get covid, yes they spread it but they are not dying and not as a percentage showing up in hospitals.

My youngest had RSV when he was 4 weeks old. Ended up in ICU on a ventilator. How is this different? By your logic the adult population should have been all locked down to prevent this. Where does it stop?

The young from 16-39 are being vaccinated from the 30/8 so they will be vaccinated by the time we open up!!

Tell you what the maths is showing in NSW, the more and more jabs 💉 the higher cases keep rising each day How about, get the data from cases and give us the stats on how many cases are vaccinated and how many are not There’s some homework for you
