"Can't live in lockdown forever" BUT DON'T SACRIFICE OUR YOUNG. Restrictions mustn't lift until young have vaccine access equity; they carry highest caseload yet lowest vaccination. Without vaccination, young will have highest caseload & therefore highest numbers in hospital.

There is just one person in hospital in the entirety of Victoria aged under 20 due to Covid. One. But Mary & policy makers are irreparably damaging millions of our kids, missing school & friends, to protect 90 yos who refuse to be vaccinated. Why won’t anyone think of our kids?

Mary should be on play school reading fairy tales at story time.

Qn - if I call entire pop’n pre vaccine as being “background pop’n” and if pre-vax 1% of hospital admissions then were under 16 then if that now skewing 2 yng because low vax rate so that they are say 33% admissions - ok 2 assume background pop’n wouldve been 100x that if no vax?

But your graph shows that hospitalisations for children is really low. And we can’t lockdown forever.

Hi @MarylouiseMcla1. I have noticed that in current VIC cases, the two age groups growing fastest are 0-9 & 30-39. I suspect these are families & that kids are possible main spreaders, school to their homes. What do you think?

Sure. But they can’t vote. And that’s a huge issue for this lot.

Since when does highest caseload necessarily =highest hospitalisation? young people have always made up highest case load ,yet never the most hospitalised or deaths .In fact ,that's why vaccines were given to older ppl first . Now under 12s are getting it -but not the sickest
