"Can't live in lockdown forever" BUT DON'T SACRIFICE OUR YOUNG. Restrictions mustn't lift until young have vaccine access equity; they carry highest caseload yet lowest vaccination. Without vaccination, young will have highest caseload & therefore highest numbers in hospital.

Thank you Mary-Louise for being the voice of reason. I just posted about this was well. Delta is so transmissible and yet some parents just want the kids back now, no matter what.
Just saw a story on @7NewsMelbourne about parents wanting their kids back in school because remote learning is inadequate. Are they aware of what is happening in the US? Still worth it to send the kids back now?

The NSW Department of Education recently sent out an anonymous survey to school staff asking them about their vaccination status and whether they intend to get vaccinated in the next month.
