"Can't live in lockdown forever" BUT DON'T SACRIFICE OUR YOUNG. Restrictions mustn't lift until young have vaccine access equity; they carry highest caseload yet lowest vaccination. Without vaccination, young will have highest caseload & therefore highest numbers in hospital.

This BS about “vaccine equity” is used by people who want to sound serious & caring. The same people are going to draw out the social restrictions as long as possible because it’s their 15 mins of fame. Selfish, shameful

We are sacrificing the young at the altar of a dysfunctional economy. Bad advice from health experts @CDCgov bad policy making and horribly tone deaf reopening plans @MayorBowser stop this upcoming carnage change.org/p/mayor-muriel-bo…

Here you can see the reality of opening up before you have higher vaccinations in the younger age groups. The proportion of hospitalisations for under 40s has gone from 10% to 40-50%.
Ny statusrapport. Den indeholder som altid mange spændende ting. Mange har f.eks. spurgt mig om aldersfordelingen af antal indlagte i øjeblikket. Nu har vi ikke så mange indlagte, men det er især unge (om end det også kan være af andre grunde?)

This from the U.K. Office of National Statistics on Friday. 16 years and over are offered vaccinations. Hospitalisation rates are low for children. The full details are here ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationa…

Erm, we are sacrificing our young. While they are the least likely to get sick from covid, they are disproportionately impacted by hard restrictions. They're social isolated, in and out of school and far more likely to lose income during lockdowns...

Except... look at Ireland where I am now... 85% fully vaccinated. Kids testing positive for Covid but very low hospitalisation rates. Now vaccinating 12 year olds. Did be be fear mongering

A vaccination program for our kids and teachers is essential.

The is grossly misrepresented informational and not in line with any other developed country. We must balance the economic and long term mental damage with delaying opening the country, because this will also create an adverse problem for our young. Life is not all about covid

Doesn’t this graph disprove your point? 0-19yo has second-highest caseload but lowest hospitalisation by far.
