Long lockdown could have been avoided but we are in it now. There is no alternative to smashing it back to zero transmission in the community.

1. Children can get & transmit the disease; 2. 70% of adult pop is not high vacc rate; and 3. Importantly, & the main issue, in presence of widespread disease, vaccination does not provide effective control of transmission and sets conditions for vaccine resistance like in UK.

It has nothing to do with being a Covid zero fan. It’s about good management in extremely dangerous circumstances. Dangers compounded by idiots sticks with the tried and failed.
That's why it's preferable to have short sharp lockdowns.

Governments won't fund that either.
We need a much better understanding of the harms caused by lockdowns. The narrow focus on eliminating covid my well come at a terrible price. There are complex moral decisions to be made. Decisions that unelected technocrats are poorly placed to make.
