Thank you for your specialist knowledge, experience and compassion over the past year. I hope your advice is followed for NSW and the rest of Australia, but I doubt the business community will listen until it's too late.

Since the proportion of exposure sites, positive cases, and exemptions from lockdown are too numerous for direct tracing and notification to warn family and close contacts, is it time to advertise network applications such as Novid? I learnt about it from your comment 26th July.
Morrison and national cabinet could step up now with full army to get NSW locked down properly - whole state shuts for 2 weeks, curfew and cash given to everyone to get tested and stay home. Doing the same thing every day and expecting a different result - madness!

Even with high vaccination rates, public health measures and mitigation strategies will have to continue as Iceland has discovered over the past few weeks.
Despite 93% of Iceland’s 16year old to 90+ population being vaccinated (most fully vaccinated) and 10% of its 12-15 yr old population vaccinated DELTA has succeeding in infecting both the vaccinated and unvaccinated (but better outcomes for vaccinated) icelandreview.com/society/co…

“ensure Sydney’s lockdown continues beyond August 28 until the number of new daily cases who aren’t in full isolation reaches zero” This will not happen

😥 I'm afraid you're too late. The New South Wales people have been served a narrative and they have swallowed it Hook Line and Sinker. I'm sorry to say it but the healthcare system is going to have to be in danger of collapse & Sydney go a bit Mad Max before reality is accepted

Absolutely. And what about the impacts of long covid on all the unvaccinated young children?
