I鈥檓 perplexed and frustrated about resistance to using rapid testing. Bringing it in now could be a circuit breaker that might make a difference.

Thanks for sharing Prof. McLaws, would also like to see rapid antigen testing rolled out in healthcare settings

How do we get these? I'm an employer (of staff in a non-essential staff) but I wouldn't even know where to start?! I'm sure others who are are in the same boat. Do govt need to provide?

I can鈥檛 believe this isn鈥檛 a thing already. Especially with airlines. Could there be a bts pushback from the pathology labs that stand to lose a lot from it?

How reliable would a self swab taken by an untrained person be? More likely to swab the front / external nasal passages than the back? Needs to be done by someone else, who knows they are going to cause discomfort.
Totally agree. One year on and still the public can鈥檛 understand cross-contamination 馃し馃徑鈥嶁檧锔廡hat a simple act or call it routine, can stop the spread. NSW Need to go back to the start. When everyone did 馃樂馃Ъ馃Тhand sanitiser. Until this Government stops playing with vaccine game.

"...there is emerging evidence that the vaccines may have a PRETTY significant protective factor in preventing transmission... it APPEARS to be that there is also a lower risk of transmitting the virus onwards" (health.gov.au) Is this correct Mary-Louise? #COVID19

Be very interested in knowing exactly how to pressure TGA to change regulation on direct to consumer sales? Like many gay men, I know from experience with HIV, rapid testing increases testing frequency.
