Hi Mary Bit of a conspiracy theory here but has anyone questioned why a trial would be done for RAT in an aged care facility in NSW with a US based rapid Antigen Test whose accuracy is significantly lower than the 2 tests produced in Australia (Ellume and AnteoTech) ?

2) If this trial will determine if the government endorses rapid tests to be used on a larger scale moving forward , wouldn't it make sense to use local devices that are in the Top 5 in the world for accuracy ?

3) Unless they want the trial to fail to justify their current PCR 24 hour strategy? CareStart has 90% sensitivity to 98% with AnteoTech

My sister in Scotland picked up three free testing kits from the local chemist and can test herself before leaving the house - results on a bar strip in 30minutes !
