So delta strain in more contagious but what about the illness itself? Is it as severe? Are there many hospitalizations?

Well, since the AFR has told us Gladys is the woman who "saved Australia" with her Gold Standard approach to managing Covid19 outbreaks, that data tells a very different story. Very informative chart.

Isn't the difference between vic and NSW in Kappa/ Delta outbreak is that Vic instituted restrictions/ lockdown earlier? Is it possible to include the timing of this in the chart. When the delta outbreak in Victoria was detected there were already restrictions on place.
