Congratulations Vic, 0 community cases today. Comparison of Vic outbreak (VOC Delta/VOI Kappa) to NSW Nth Beaches (USA strain) - similar time to peak but potential earlier 14day zeros. Early effective lockdown is painful but has limited extensive community spread.

So looking at that graph, the gradient declines the same as Victoria without locking people in their homes like criminals? I’ll take NSW approach thanks.

Imagine if NSW used the Christmas lockdown strategy style with the Delta variant, it may have never been contained.

Is it not fair to say that Victoria dealt/ currently dealing with 2 outbreaks Kappa and Delta?

The key question out of this analysis is whether a peak difference of 6 cases per day (average) is worth a state-wide lockdown. Given minimal hospitalisation in either outbreak, probably not.
