Good news gov promised all Vic aged care residents vaccinated 1 dose today. Epidemiologically next priority 20-39 yo who are largest case numbers (40%) & transmitters. Vic is hotspot so all states please donate Pfizer doses to Vic to keep all Aust safe. Vaccinate Victoria 🤞

Why did this happen so quickly now in basically a day, but not happen at all over the past 3 months?

Why should states like NSW who are improving their numbers each day have to donate their doses? Especially as their border is still open.

I have a great deal of empathy for Victorians, but asking other States to donate vaccines which are already in very short supply is a bridge too far. State borders are permeable and didn't this outbreak start in SA? Moving the deckchairs of the #MorrisonOutbreak is not the saver

So it proves they could have done that right at the start and vaccinated all the residents. While it is great news this has happened, its infuriating it took this latest outbreak to get it to happen.

Why would 20-39 yo take the vaccine? Risk of death 0.0002% Don’t do it please

What about those vulnerable people in disability car? Last I heard, less than 1,000 out of 28,000 have been vaccinated

You have advocated for a long time to prioritise the 20-39 age group... doesn’t appear that those who make the decisions are listening to the experts on this one

Excellent point. Vaccinate the most vulnerable, then vaccinate the cohort most likely to spread it - young people juggling three/four jobs/gigs just to make rent!
