Quarantine is not 99.9% effective. 21,000 cases (70% of total cases) since border closure on 20 March '20 are directly & indirectly due to quarantine breaches & exemptions. Purpose-built quarantine facilities with rapid antigen testing on arrival & day-14 are required.

99.9% is correct if you use the wrong denominator (total number of people in hotel quarantine as opposed to total number of infected people in hotel quarantine), which is a deliberate misuse of statistics by Morrison and Hunt.

@MarylouiseMcla1 is anyone talking about the quarantine stations we have already? We were ahead of the game 100+ years ago. Let’s re-open these historical sites!

Yep, I agree with repatriation but it needs to be done safely. Particularly with the new, more contagious, variants.

21,000 COVID cases sounds like a lot but what is the total number of people who have gone through HQ?

Quarentine alone is an antiquated approach. Vaccine policy, public outreach, and vaccinated people are required.

Quarantine can and should become redundant within six months. People need to be getting the vaccine, and that should be the message. Not getting outraged over a solution that is only temporary, unless we want to remain shut off to the world forever.
