Quarantine is not 99.9% effective. 21,000 cases (70% of total cases) since border closure on 20 March '20 are directly & indirectly due to quarantine breaches & exemptions. Purpose-built quarantine facilities with rapid antigen testing on arrival & day-14 are required.

21,000 cases, what is that as a ratio to the total number quarantined in hotels? #auspol

but only required in Victoria.
Who is stopping the States of taking the initiative and building them? Sitting there and blaming the Federal Govt whilst enduring lockdown after lockdown isn’t really a solution?!?

I note you have included exceptions in your argument. So how does purpose built quarantine facilities with rapid antigen testing on arrival and day 14 prevent leaks from exceptions.

Rapid antigen testing is right, dedicated facility not so if you do the first bit.

Purpose built quarantine demands is a red herring. They won’t have enough capacity and people will just move on to demanding open borders.
