Quarantine is not 99.9% effective. 21,000 cases (70% of total cases) since border closure on 20 March '20 are directly & indirectly due to quarantine breaches & exemptions. Purpose-built quarantine facilities with rapid antigen testing on arrival & day-14 are required.

The problem is that even if it is 99.9% effective, there is still the 0.1%. Even if it is 0.01%, it is a leak from HQ every few weeks, and the possibility of the scenario that we are now facing in Melbourne. Mass vaccination is the only long term solution.

But that's a risk the #LNP were prepared to take!...with our lives.

Why would we move from the accurate PCR tests to the inaccurate antigen tests? Just do PCR on day 1 and 14...

Bring on the rapid antigen testing. Victoria could’ve done with that as first screening test. People less reluctant if it’s a 15 minute wait. It’s kept Darwin quarantine facility staff safe. Unfortunately Darwin Health have removed that test

You're joking. I think it's been well demonstrated, flip flop Australia cannot do quarantine. You're 2020 propaganda machine was correct, "we get one chance" and we've missed the boat. You've done a great job of dividing us on vaccination and leading the blame game.

Our scientific and medical leaders need to keep calling this incompetent government out as you and others are doing. Morrison is the master of spin and use of percentages to avoid the real numbers.

Why is there such reluctance to reply rapid tests as a screener?
