Mass vaccination sites are urgently needed. Current av. rate after last 6 weeks is just 22,000 doses/day. I calculate to have 85% population vaccinated by end of year we need 133,000/day every day from tomorrow to Dec 31 plus 70,000/day every day from Jan 1-Mar 31 2022.

Oh yeah... Wonder why govt hasn't organised vaccination buses full of med staff to travel from one care or assisted living centre to another each day to immunise staff and clients en masse?

What is the attendance rate at mass vaccination centres? Inconvenience (eg having to travel) identified as a barrier. What resources are available for bringing vaccines to trusted community locations? Both mass and community probably needed.

I just don鈥檛 understand why anything other than mass vaccination sites was ever the plan

Morrison鈥檚 Government could also do calculations and work out the dates implied by this current rate and any projected ramp-up. They could then determine that it puts Australians at too much risk and then work on pulling the dates in. This approach implies focus and competence.
Getting mine at my local community centre in Singapore on Thurs - Pfizer. Currently vaccinating 45-59 group. They鈥檝e done 1.5m already. I鈥檒l be vaccinated before my parents in Brisbane

Will the country be done by 2024 at this rate?

At our current we will be one of the last countries to open up. Can't manage the economy, can't manage quarantine, can't manage the vaccinations. That's Morrison, Frydenberg and Hunt.

We were doing 70k a day in the week prior to the Easter holiday, which was the first week locally manufactured AstraZeneca was available

Delivery of many doses to fewer places (mass vaccination sites) seems easier than thousands of small deliveries to GP's
