Mass vaccination sites are urgently needed. Current av. rate after last 6 weeks is just 22,000 doses/day. I calculate to have 85% population vaccinated by end of year we need 133,000/day every day from tomorrow to Dec 31 plus 70,000/day every day from Jan 1-Mar 31 2022.

How many doses have been manufactured to date by @CSL and of those, what % have been distributed to GP’s, Hospitals, Pharmacies and Pathology Centres to vaccinate people? Is the issues a shortage of doses, packaging & distribution, lack of vaccinating centres....?

Can’t dispute your maths - is the medical protocol for administering vaccinations become too bloated in time and human resources or is this the new face of COVID safe F2F medicine?

This hand wringing is a waste of time. Averages are useless during a ramp. Last two days before Easter were 70k/day. End of this week will be 100k/day and end of next 200k. Then the pollies get credit for fixing an issue that was already fixed (i.e. slow initial supply).

Get the important folk done first. Elderly etc. We're safe enough to wait. Quite frankly, it now looks as though the vaccines will be useless within the year. Reminder that this mass vaccination is one of the biggest scientific experiments ever to be done to the human race. Steps

Or in other words, at the current rate we will not reach 85% vaccination rate until ~ October 2023. Get your shit together #ScottyFromHillsong

No doubt mass vaccination sites will help in major centres but they need the vaccine to be available to start with. Regional centres don’t need mass vaccination centres, they need a steady supply of the vaccine. My local clinic gets just 50 doses a week!

There's no way you'll get 85% of Australia to accept AZ. Some can't have any vax. Some can't have that vax. And some vulnerables say "hell no" to its also-ran level of efficacy against the mild COVID that can result in long COVID, and are willing to pay dearly for Pfizer instead.

History repeating itself, but our government can’t join the dots... #auspol #COVID19Aus

What if we don’t want the vaccine
