After 17 days Aust total is 106K injections. After 17 days UK had 830K, Israel 1.4mill, USA 2.8mill. Our current daily av. about 8K per day. We need between 160K-190K per day every day for 240 days to reach potential herd immunity. We need both public & private mass vaccination.

I was wondering when the first batch of Pfizer will expire? 30 days at -70 deg isn't it?.....they aren't all in arms yet?.......
omnicalculator.com/health/va… “Given a vaccination rate of 55,360 a week and an uptake of 73%, you should expect to receive your first dose of vaccine between 20/11/2027 and 30/03/2031.” Could this be true?

What do we do when the vaccine resistant African virus arrives. They have already stopped using astrazeneca in Africa as it is useless against the variant virus. I'm 60 and if I'm going to put myself atrisk of blood clots and other unknown side effects I'd like a decent vaccine.
We need doses. No need to bring privatisation into this.

Plan B. Send everyone to Queensland half price. 🙄
We have very different geographic challenges to contend with though. It seems to me successful virus suppression has led to a population that feels less urgency to uptake it. I’m reassured that line is actually increasing.

So talking about herd immunity does that imply the vaccine will stop/slow spread? Is there evidence of this?
