Further to previous graph - important to note with escape of UK variant giving just Pfizer to 90% population coverage could provide HI. Proposed Pfizer+AZ combo may not ever provide HI. This is why it is so important to prevent escape of UK variant from quarantine hotels.

Current question: are poorly ventilated hotels the most effective type of quarantine accommodation? Given aerosol transmission, which the fed govt has been so slow to recognise, do we need to modify existing hotels or use other less risky accommodation types?

How do you suggest that we do that? Quarantine outside of metro areas? Total ppe for all workers as in masks and shields? Spacing out infected people so they aren’t housed directly next to each other ?

The new covid19 strains are escaping routinely from hotel quarantine now. Hotel quarantine has been improved substantially but it is not working. We need another solution. The federal government has to pick up the ball.
