I calculated, graphed, if vaccines can produce herd immunity (HI) & Pfizer needs 75% population coverage (85% for UK variant) AZ needs 100%. Pfizer+AZ planned combination needs 90% coverage. Get vaccinated please. But how do we protect if we don't get 90% coverage?

It’s unlikely we’ll reach 90 percent. Logistics and conspiratorial moronics will put a stop to it. 😔 #auspol2021 #Covid_19 #CovidVic #vaccine #SARSCoV2

Sarin keksinnöstä ovat iloinneet kanssamme niin asiantuntijat kuin media! Opetushoitajana @helsinginsote työskentelevä Sari Roos keksi, miten Pfizer-Biontechin koronarokotteista saadaan 5 annoksen sijaan 7. Katso Sarin video #koronarokote #koronafi👉 dreambroker.com/channel/fic9…

How about you get stuffed. I’m not putting that dodgy untested shit in my body, nor my kids bodies.

Children not being vaccinated, how can we reach 90%?

How can you graph this? The % you are quoting is for protection against disease, not transmission. We only have transmission reduction evidence for Astra, and even that is pre print
We don’t have to eliminate this virus, if it’s mainly asymptomatic with a vaccine or just mild.

You don't need herd immunity, you just need to get deaths down to an acceptable level. Given flu kills about 10000 in a typical winter, I'd say that is about 3000 per month or 100 a day.

What R0 did you use as your cut off point, please?

1/3 I know that textbooks give 1 - 1/R0 as the number (actually the proportion of the population) needed to vaccinate. IMHO that does not always apply - eg when transmission is affected by individual behaviour, as it is with Covid-19.

I wish you wouldn't be so alarmist. If 10% of the population were not vaccinated against Covid - their chance of getting Covid is significantly reduced as is their chance to spread it & if they are not among the vulnerable, their chance of death from Covid approaches zero.
