Herd immunity is not the goal of current vaccines because 1) all levels infections not preventable 2) would need high efficacy for all level of infection & high pop coverage. Please get any vaccine to give better chance of protection from symptoms, possibly severe COVID & death.

Hard to say what the Astra Vaccine we all are getting will do to the virus in the community.. yet perhaps it could be that it’s still better to keep the virus out as we are doing than have a vaccine that isn’t powerful Enough to stop More Cases and subsequent viral mutation.

I’m an engineer not an epidemiologist but ... Aren’t these ‘vaccines’ really prophylactics?? They prevent serious disease and death but don’t stop infection
