Vaccinating 80% of Australia in 8 months means 170,000 injections per day every day; 4 times the average daily number Covid tests (Apr-Dec). Our health system will struggle to vaccinate while fighting outbreaks unless quarantine flaws are strengthened before March.

And is there a scratch test added to that to determine prior exposure to the virus?

no so its assumed everyone (without contraindications) should be tested as immunity from natural infection may last 8months or even less.

Does this include the need for two injections?

Stick the vaccine up your arse!!
Just start at the coal face - medical and emergency service workers and all other frontline ‘troops’ first with the elderly next in line - then work towards the middle from both ends. Large jobs are done a step at a time.

starting vaccines that have been already approved in UK would be faster. Government is committed to current timetable for its own reasons. Australia will lag Rest of World for most of 2021 is the downside

As you know none of the vaccines are vaccines at all but just reduce the symptoms once we've caught it & don't stop spread to others. Basically the are useless at containing the virus!
