Vaccinating 80% of Australia in 8 months means 170,000 injections per day every day; 4 times the average daily number Covid tests (Apr-Dec). Our health system will struggle to vaccinate while fighting outbreaks unless quarantine flaws are strengthened before March.

What is the plan for the vaccinations? I’m worried that this hopeless fed rail government will mismanage this like everything else. They just need to give it to the states like EVERYTHING else in this pandemic.

Not sure what role local GPs will play in vaccinations or in COVID tests for that matter. If vaccine is rolled out by GPs like seasonal flu shots, will that take the pressure off testing and contact tracing?

Kindly check how Israel is going about their vaccination program. Very appropriate for the situation. If there is a will there will always be a way. Why not allow private sector to offer the jabs just like flu shots and open 24 hours centres?

Thank you for calling the Health Minister out on this bit of fake news. Was wondering if anyone in the msm would query the feasibility of this timeline🙄Alas no ...

We already have a pretty extensive flu vaccination program each year through workplaces and pharmacies. I’m assuming they will just tap into those logistics/resources.

Clearly those targets will not be achieved. Quarantine flaws must be addressed to stop the spit fires

*that target was an announcement and can therefore be disregarded

If there are around 7000 GP clinics in Australia then this is only 25 a day. Certainly doable.

What if 80% of Australians don’t want it?
