Let me get this straight .. airline crew / pilots / stewards are exempt from quarantine. Let the absurdity of that sink in. The only people who are literally flying around the world’s hot spots are not required to quarantine. Hey but if you live on the northern beaches of NSW ..

We wrote on 7 December, before this outbreak, to State and Federal ministry about holes in the handling of international travellers and glight crew & how to ameliorate them. It is not the community’s fault.

Of course. What im saying is its a planning error not complacency (community was going about their lives in zero case load). This is all due to holes in the handling of incoming international flights quarantine system.

We know who's to blame. Interestingly Nth & Sth Coast hospitals were put on amber alert a few days ago=Mandatory masks, but not in public?. They won't say why both Coasts are included in warnings, but we can guess, The holiday exodus assures spread to both ends of the coast.

I know we had no cases in the community, but while we know the pandemic is with the world and we're vulnerable and dependent on strong quarantine, would it have been good to keep some restrictions in place and have masks on public transport? A reminder the virus is with us?

After 12 months of Covid and many errors it is impossible to understand how the NSW Premier allowed airline crew the ability to quarantine themselves. All other overseas people must go to quarantine hotel to make sure Covid does not escape. This confirms expert advice ignored.

You mean much like the Fire and Emergency Commissioners advised the Federal Government on an emerging bush fire catastrophe. Reminded of the Yorkshire Ripper when senior detectives ignored advice of a suspect. Privileged middle aged white men to blame on all occasions.
